Binary Bricolage

A four day pop-up cafe and experiential culinary sensation in Le Marais, Paris – open to the public.

Inspired by Hemingway’s A Moveable Feast, Bright Moments Paris was a hub of conversation, community, and art

The cafe brought the audience together for daily minting experiences, before the evening celebrations. At different turns, the Paris experience was intimate and exclusive, celebratory and inclusive, and delicious.

The event featured several IRL minting opportunities.

I am deeply fascinated by the connection between the avant-garde art movements of the 1920s and today’s groundbreaking generative technologies. A century apart, these eras share a common thread: evolving the concept of art.

My collection, ‘Binary Bricolage,’ creates a dialogue between these periods. It features a series of composite portraits, characters that never existed, meticulously arranged on a grid that mirrors the layout of Parisian arrondissements. This fusion of geography and surrealism challenges conventional notions of identity, echoing the disruptive spirit of Dadaism.

In a nod to the unpredictable nature of generative art, the phrase ‘bright moments’ is reimagined, its letters whimsically shuffled to produce an array of random, yet meaningful, arrangements.

The evolution of the series is further encapsulated by translating its progression into binary code, symbolizing the bridge between traditional and digital art forms.

We exceeded our sale target of 100 and set another record for most passes sold in a single day, with 179.

The collection sold out a week before the actual IRL event.
